Hello friends. Just got back home from my second check-up visit. Things are going better and I have the OK to read, watch TV and write to my friends. My eye swelling is going down and I can see better than 12 days ago. It’s so beautiful to be able to write again.

I hope you and the others here are well too.
Unfortunately, an old colleague and very good friend died, we knew each other for almost 40 years.
The four of us had been going on vacation together for almost 20 years, never no chit, words or anything like that.
We have a hard time with it.
Of course it awaits us all but this was so sudden.
Never got sick, didn’t drink or smoke …
He did not feel well, an ambulance came and had to go to the hospital.
You have 3 coronary arteries, 1 of which was blocked,
this one was doped, that went well.
After half an hour in the operating room, he suffered a cardiac arrest and was resuscitated 2 more times for 6 minutes, but to no avail, we are devastated …
And that in 4 hours …
Heaven is another star richer, rest in peace dear friend.

Thank you so much for all you do, owls! My mother, 80, had a second stroke while in lockdown at her nursing home (her 1st was 5 yrs or so ago). They wouldn’t let us in because they had an employee come up positive with covid, & then a resident. But then she declined & they let us in. She passed away this morning at 4 am CST, and I am heartbroken. I couldn’t have had a better mom. Thank you for having a game to occupy my mind while going through this end of life process. My daughter, who had been thinking about getting a cat now that her daughter is 4, is taking her cat, Fluffy.
