  10. Thank you, Owl friends, for everything! We all are SO appreciative! I wish I could get a good pic of my small garden…100’s of grape & cherry tomatoes! And sweet…so tasty! I’ll try to get a pic for last time. I thought I had prepared some pics to share, but I couldn’t find. I’ll try those as well next time. Take care & good health!

  18. Just an update on our Pomeranian Brutus. He was very ill for 3 weeks with diarrhea and stomach problems
    He saw our vet last Wednesday. They did blood testing and the results showed that his low protein levels have come back due to inflammation of the intestines. The vet suspects Inflammatory Bowel Disease which would be actually a good thing (as opposed to other conditions or cancer) as there is a chance it can be managed with diet and meds.

    So he is back on the steroid Budesonide for the inflammation and a 7 day regimen of antibiotic for the diarrhea. We also are in the process of slowly changing his food to a special prescription for digestive health. Fortunately he loves it and the diarrhea has cleared up too (thankfully ?)

    He is feeling much better. He is feisty again and his appetite has returned. He loves taking his meds too (I wrap them in cheese) He is like his old Brutus self again and that’s a wonderful thing to see.
    How long this will last I don’t know. I’m thankful for whatever time we have with him. he will be 12 in October and he’s been ours for seven of those years.

    • It’s nice to read that Brutus is doing better Cali.
      Diarrhea, for whomever can have unpleasant consequences such as dehydration.
      If he eats and plays well again, you can certainly expect him to feel good again, keep it so Brutus.
      And keep eating your medicines, and you will get better on your own.

      My Rambo was 12 years just this month and must say that is very well for an old boy.
