    • Maybe redownload, this game does not require installation and there is an exe file take another look. I d/loaded from uptobox with no issues

    • If you have Windows Defender then you will get the exe taken, so look in your Security settings in Protection History & Restore & might I suggest in the game folder right click on the game icon to run as Administrator.

  20. Ok finished this one & the Bonus…initial hiccup with the exe being taken by Windows Defender after it was scanned but restored it & ran as Administrator there were no further problems completing it. It was a good game & I say thanks to the Devs & all involved ?

    Just a quick note…anyone using Windows Defender it is only doing the job it’s supposed to but as so many of the games of late are mainly exe files it sees it as a threat. ASG isn’t foolish enough to let infected files be uploaded & I’ve been here many years & still my pc is clean..if you don’t like WD then there are others to choose from..it’s always a personal choice.

    • Can you walk me me thru what you did to get the .exe file – ie what did you scan it with = sorry for being so dumb – I prefer it when ASG does it for us

      sorry to be such a pain but I prefered when ASG does it for us

    • There’s also a good website called VirusTotal where you can upload the .exe file directly to it and it scans for about 100 different antivirus programs at once. The problem is that it can only accept files that are 650mb or less, so it’s good for all the older games.

  21. I loathe Windows Defender! It’s not even letting me get to this website now! I finally got in today, but I don’t know how…it took over 1/2 hour. I could tear my hair out.

    • No sure why you are not getting sound maybe check to see if your sound card is compatible or check your speakers are working.

  24. hello owls, inre: windows defender. it has a controlled folder access, reputation based settings, etc. and you’re better off turning them to off separately than all at once. excluding files and folders to save games works but, you need to change it’s location periodically and let wd scan the old location. uninstalling and reinstalling your extractor and allowing the extractor in windows security app can work too. sound drivers and other drivers may need to be manually updated in your device manager. especially if you had to fight with your computer. try to keep your browser extensions from becoming redundant, check its settings frequently. yeah, i’ve faced it all..

    • There is no Virus it is your AV program seeing the cracked .exe file as one therefore reporting a false positive Windows Defender is notorious for this issue in a lot of the newer games. You can either make an exception for the file within your AV program or turn it off

    There are two things I’ve learned over the years from downloading at this site:

    1) There are absolutely NO viruses, even though your anti-virus programs says there is.

    2) Windows Defender is extremely stoopid.

    I do have one issue on this game, though, and hope someone can let me know if I missed a step or if its a sequencing issue.

    I’m at the step where I need to pick up the wallet and the 4th treat after cutting the overgrown bush/weeds. But, after cutting the bush/weed and looking at the area they are supposed to be, there is nothing there.

    Anyone else having this issue?

    • OK, just answered my own question.

      Initially, I extracted the game, received the Windows Defender notification of the virus, selected to allow it on my my computer, then excluded the .exe file so I wouldn’t continue to get those errors. That seemed to work until I got to that step where I needed to pick up the wallet and 4th treat but they weren’t there.

      I was able to “fix” this by deleting the extracted folder, turning off Windows Defender, extracting the files again, and added both the .exe file and the entire folder to the Window’s defender exclusions folder (might be overkill, but whatever).

      Once I did that and opened the game up, *poof* the wallet and treat are there now, and I didn’t even need to start the game over (Yay!).

      Hope this helps anyone else who stumbles across this weird issue. ?

      Edited to add that I’m going to turn Defender back on, and will let you know if I come across any other issues.

      • Hi there Meep I never completely turn off my Defender as I don’t need to. I have everything turned on to green status including Ransomware settings. I’ve found lately that if I right click the extracted game folder & run as Administrator the game runs properly without issue. Thanks for that little share about how you “fixed” your problem & I’m sure that it will be helpful to others ?

  32. Don’t assume there’s a problem with Windows Defender until you’ve tested the file with other AV programs. That’s like assuming there’s something wrong with your smoke detector because it’s going off. The latest viruses don’t infect other programs but take login data from browsers. As such they don’t behave as previous viruses and are harder to detect. ASG isn’t the source of the problem, it’s affecting other outlets as well. I would hate for someone to be promoting bad advice and people getting harmed in the process. It’s better to err in caution.
