    • Take care! My mother passed last August & I inherited the family assets so I’m taking my daughter, her fiance, & my granddaughter to Universal Studios, Florida in October! SO exciting, but in case my health takes a turn for the worst, I want this trip…particularly the Harry Potter stuff. OMG, though, the cost! I don’t know how people on a regular income afford this stuff! Over $5,000 for the 4 of us to go down on a Monday, stay until Friday morning, and then fly back! Just 3 days at Universal Studios (2 parks) is $2,000 for 4 people! Insane!   15. Good Saturday morning to you all hope you are all well and keeping safe. Well Our illustrious leaders have decided that they wont relax our international borders until 80% of our population has been vaccinated against the covid 19, so many people are afraid to get the Astra Zenica because they either think its still too experimental or afraid of the link to blood clotting, which is their choice, I am now fully vaccinated with Astra, we still do not have enough supply of Pfizer to accommodate those who want it. For a country such as Australia we should be a lot more advanced than we are “RANT OVER” I am a little peeved coz I have a trip overseas planned for Oct 2022 don’t know if I will make it may have to wait another year “NOT HAPPY” we were supposed to be going this year.

    • Read the Jackie below, on the news this week, it’s incomprehensible….

      chairman Mirjam van ‘t Veld responded to this news in, among others, the NOS Radio 1 news. She said it’s hard to swallow that tens of thousands of doses of AstraZeneca vaccine that are still in GPs’ refrigerators will likely need to be destroyed. General practitioners have worked hard in the vaccination process to prevent waste by ordering economically and using the vaccines obtained carefully to prevent spillage. We had hoped that a good destination would be found and that we could help other countries that desperately need them. But the government says this is not possible.

      • Oh dear, is it too late then to shipp them to other countries? I guess every methode had it’s advantages and disadvantages. here we had to get our vaccine in vaccination centres who got there daily delivery coming from secured places where they can contained right. In the future we will be able to get a vaccine at the doc’s place or even pharmacists, depending on the evolution of the situation.
        Politics…at times you would turn grey instantly, lol!

      • We are not experiencing to my knowledge any kind of waste issues for the Vaccines either Pfizer or Astrazenica, our issue with Pfizer is lack of supply, and people being too scared to get Astrazenica due to the small link to blood clots and they also fear that it is too experimental. Me on the other hand now fully vaccinated with both Astrazenica shots so I am rearing to go. My feelings on the opening of the borders here are that if vaccinated and you wish to travel then you should be allowed. A lot of countries are already opening their borders with strict rules and for the already vaccinated Thailand being one which is where our trip is planned for.

    • Are you going on holiday now this year Jackie or as you describe 2022 or am I misunderstanding you?

      • Hi Dick yes a holiday but not this year now. Our original plan was to go this year in October it has been 3 years in the planning and saving since our last trip back in 2018, but Covid hit and put this on hold so now our plans are for October next year but it will all depend on when our government decides to open our international borders for tourism they have been closed since March 2020 only open to repatriate our citizens that are stuck overseas and need to get back here
