    Well I had my first Astra Zenica covid shot on Monday all was well till Tuesday when I felt really unwell and a very sore arm so I took myself back to bed for the day and by yesterday all was back to normal some Friends I know have been lucky enough not to have any side effects now wait 12 weeks for my second shot

    • Be glad you didn’t have a bad Jackie.
      I was cold after 6 o’clock and woke up nauseated after about 12 o’clock.
      2 days of muscle pain was the consolation prize.
      It is our turn again on June 2 for the second injection.

        • If you have to believe everything, then the 2nd injection of Astra should give worse reactions.
          Well, we’ll wait and see.
          See first, then believe … I will not let myself be fooled

  11. Hi ASG Team and friends. I owe you some explanations for my long absence. No Covid or heart problems but the beginning of a nervous breakdown with several panic attacks almost each day; I became negative, lost my strenght and the will of fight and win, couldn’t concentrate on anything. I called my nephew who moved me to his house and with his ,his family and my doctor’s help, who ordered the right medicins, now I feel a bit better and 3 days ago I returned back home.
    Step by step, I’m working to get my old life and, hopefully, old Tweety back. I know it will take time before feeling 100% but I’m grateful to be in the position to fight and take care of myself.
    I’m very sorry if I’ve have caused problems to anybody but I wasn’t in the position to think or write. Just to give you and idea it took me 2 days to write this message. I’m not promising I’ll be here every day but I will try with all all my forces to show the proof I’m still on this planet.

      You didn’t cause any problems dear Elena, remember you have friends here who care for you deeply that’s all.

      For the panic attacks who can say is without them these days, It’s so easy to get triggered, just watch the news that should be enough fuel for lifetime of panic and if that doesn’t get you, there is always Facebook, Twitter or YouTube.

      You will get there just take one step at a time and remember our dear friend James saying: God didn’t bring us here just to drop us on our head.

    • This is such a relief to hear from you dear Elena, wow, we have all been so very worried. I am so glad you came here to let us know and please remember all of us care about you. ???

      My own brother is prone to getting panic attacks so I have told him so stay away from the news and all social media. Personally I am on no social media, I only post here and a few other sites. I haven’t watched the news in over a year and cancelled my newspaper subscription. I don’t miss either of them at all.
      I have thousands of hours of dvds of old tv shows to watch and hundreds of books. That will take years LOL

    • Depression and panic attacks can be so debilitating, if you’ve never experienced this you can sympathize but not understand. So glad you are feeling better Elena. Don’t push yourself too much, I think your ASG family will always be here to love and support you.

      This is especially evident during this period.

  19. Happy Saturday friends. I wish to thank each one of you for the nice, sweet and touching messages you sent. You really made me cry. ?
    The time I spent with my nephew and his family has been helpful but now that I’m back home I feel better. To day I went to supermarket; all considered it hasn’t been a “mission impossible”. Yesterday I’ve been called for the vacine, May 10.

  22. Good morning everyone…hoping that the weekend is a happy, safe & healthy one for you all.
    Taking me a while to face the day even if the weather outside is beautiful as my son & I sat up until nearly 1am watching our Queen say her final goodbye to her dearest Prince Phillip may he rest in peace.
    Now I get to have some fun with my kids playing Overcooked 2 on Switch..I’m a bit useless at times lol & they do tend to get a bit frustrated with me but it doesn’t matter as we all have a good laugh together anyway ??

    • Happy Sunday to you dear Liz. I did not get a chance to watch the funeral. I do feel badly for the Queen and her subjects throughout the Commonwealth.

      Now did I just read that you have a Nintendo Switch? i bought myself one for Christmas and love it. I mainly use it in handheld mode.

      I discovered there are actually games that I can play on it too! They have alot of HO games that I have been buying from the eshop when they go on sale. And Nintendo has had some really good sales lately. many of the games are 80% off.
      I pick out the ones I am interested in and add them to my wish list. Nintendo sends me an email if they go on sale.
      I have not heard of the game you mentioned, Overcooked 2. If it is a shooter or platformer I cannot play those games. For me it is strictly “point n click” LOL

        My youngest daughter is the one that owns the Nintendo Switch & she bought the Overcooked Bundle “All you can eat” game. It’s basically a very fast paced Cooking TM.

        As it can be a multi sharing game either with family or online…it’s generally my daughter, her fiance & my son who are all in their early twenties with me making up the fourth player & as being more on the senior side of life their reflexes are quicker than mine they get a bit frustrated when I fluff up the orders so am relegated to washing up the plates LOL
        I agree Cali “point & click” are the way to go ?
