  12. HELP! Ordinarily, when the game installer doesn’t come up, I just go to where the file downloaded, double click, click through the Winrar, and it comes to the file that includes the GAME.exe file on which I double click and it installs and starts the game from there. It’s a bit of a pain without your owls’ installer, but it usually works. Even if it gives me a false Trojan warning & won’t play, I just go to Windows Defender, take it out of quarantine, and play. Unfortunately, this game keeps reinstalling the “virus” when I click on the “Awakening.exe” file and won’t play. Any suggestions? I am not very computer literate, so please keep that in mind with your answer…thank you so much for your help!!

    • Hi Hunny I had an issue too so turned off windows defender completely it played just fine after that

    • Hi Hunny…I’m playing this game while using Windows Defender..now all I can suggest is that you look in your Security Settings..open V*rus & Protection scroll down to Ransomware Protection..click Manage Protection & turn off Controlled Folder Access & see if it lets you play…your Security Features should still show all green ticks & you can always turn it back on when you finish.

    • The game worked for a few days without a virus warning but now always triggers a virus warning. I’ve noticed viruses on a lot lately with games. There may be a problem with the source of the files.

  21. While trying to install it the computer gives me a malware notification. my antivirus deletes .exe file

    • False positive, your A/V is reading the crack as a malware just turn off your A/V and it will be fine

  24. Don’t know if you’ll get a chance to read this. I was the 1st, & for the longest time only, person banned from here. But I do hope ASG will grant me this brief moment after all these years. It’s not like I’m pretending to be anyone other than myself. Upfront I’m making it clear who I truly am. I’ve been a goooood boy, ASG! >; )

    1st… if I wished to be un-banned I would petition ASG directly, not like this. I haven’t. My sole purpose is to let you know this 67 year old man is still alive & doing fine.

    2nd… Banned means davycrickett can no longer comment via disqus. That’s it. I can read your comments & download ASG’s games, as I have for years. I’ve followed all your illnesses, your birthdays, local weather reports, Elena’s travails, Marie’s disappearance.

    3rd… I’ve never commented here pretending to be anyone other than me. Nor ever will. ASG & you deserve better than that. I’ve respected ASG’s banning of me for life & will continue to do so. It’s been 7 years & all I’m doing now is touching base with old friends. Maybe again in 2030.

    4th… I now have 8 grandchildren. I no longer live in Texas, I moved to Colorado 6 years ago. Bought a classic old home… 101 years old now… with 4 floors. If you include the basement & the loft. >; )

    I’m thrilled she’s alive!!! Do this long enough, email pals are there 3 times a day… & then gone forever. No clue what happened to them. Dale, 1999, & Eric, 2022, come to mind.   25. in chaptor 3 i need to pick up the weedkiller in a box. but there is no weedkiller. tryed everything to open the box. tryed by reading the strategy gide, but nothing.. i can not go any further, because i need the weedkiller to kill the plant and take the pot with soil. Please help

    • Hi mieke the weedkiller should be in a box of shoes in the Herb garden shed but you won’t get it until you finish the whole HOP. If it’s not showing in the box at all then I’m sorry my friend you might have to restart. I didn’t have a problem with it being there & I finished the main game days ago…I will add though while a lovely visual game to play it become too repetitive for me & I skipped the Bonus.

    • No it does not have a virus your Anti virus program is reading the crack as a false positive

    • There is definitely something going on but it doesn’t seem to infect any files. It’s not a false positive since it shows up on quite a few anti-virus checkers.

      • A lot of the newer games are showing up as false positives and yes it is happening on different A/V programs. ASG would not put up an infected game
